Today is the beginning of the HSC exams for year 12 students in NSW. The HSC exams plays a large role in determining which university and what course you will be accepted into for tertiary education.
As important as it is, it is not be all and end all. Just because one doesn’t do as well in these exams doesn’t mean one cannot get into the course or the university one chooses. There are other avenues just as picking a similar course and then transferring after the first year. Or one can choose not to go to university altogether and pick up a trade.
Knowing that the HSC is not the most important thing in life, we still see many students spend countless hours studying and preparing for it. But how many of us are willing to spend the same time and energy on something that affects not just the next few years of our lives, but affects our eternity?
